What is a Nation Builder?
A Nation Builder is a person who is a dedicated Christian and takes the initiative to develop the kingdom of God in the nations.
We have volunteer positions available for such people.
Goal of Position:
The purpose of this position is to allow a student to gain ministerial experience in a small church multicultural setting.
The volunteer is accountable to the pastor (who has an open door policy) and will meet with him at least weekly to discuss any questions or concerns. The volunteer will work under the direction of the pastor or his designee.
The volunteer will be expected to:
Participate in church services.
Take on a leadership role in their area of ministry strength.
Gain experience with guidance in areas of ministry weakness.
Participate in church planning
Participate in various church activities
Once the applicants application has been reviewed and accepted for the position a more detailed job description will be developed based on the applicants strengths and goals.
Negotiable, the volunteer’s scheduled hours will be established once it is know what part-time hours they are working outside the church in the local community, if the volunteer elects to take on outside employment.
Length Of Commitment:
Negotiable, the volunteer’s time commitment will be discussed and established during the interview process via electronic video-conferencing. The position start and end dates will be tailored based on students school schedule and available.
Training and support will be provided for all areas of ministry leadership development as the need is determined. The pastor is a graduate of Assemblies of God Theological Seminary (MATS) and Southwestern Assemblies of God University (BA/AA) his wife is a graduate of Henderson State University (MSE) and Southwestern Assemblies of God University (BA/AA) both are ordained ministers with the Assemblies of God. Any volunteer who is also taking ministry courses online, will be able to request assistance and use their ministerial library.
Qualifications And Special Skills:
A willing heart to use one’s skills for growing the kingdom of God. Preference will be given to ministerial students at Assembly of God Colleges. Individuals not attending A/G colleges must have a Pentecostal/Charismatic pastoral recommendation. The job duties will center on the strengths of the applicant but will also develop areas of weakness.
Benefits To This Position:
The individual volunteering will be provided room and board and be allowed to take a part-time job in this tourism community if employment is desired. The Church is located 11 miles from the main entrance to Denali National Park and is a worldwide tourism location.
The volunteer will have opportunity to practice ministry to the nations. Summer guests and employees in the community come from around the globe, Asia, Australia, Africa, Europe, and the Americas. This is a multi-cultural ministry opportunity.
The volunteer will have opportunities to encounter Alaska via tourism; those that have a cost would be at volunteer’s personal expense. Some examples are kayaking, wildlife photography, hiking, sport fishing, zip-line, rafting, air, jeep, and ATV tours.
